Win and they are in the post-season.
That is the situation facing the Stephens County Indians as they host Lumpkin County at the Reservation in the final regular-season game of the season for both teams.
The Indians will make the AAAA state football playoffs if they defeat Lumpkin County or if Eastside loses to Monroe Area.
Stephens County enters tonight’s game with a 5-4 overall record and a 3-3 record in Region 8-AAAA play.
Last week, the Indians defeated Eastside 30-14 behind more than 200 total yards and three touchdowns from running back Jai Brown.
Meanwhile, Lumpkin County is 1-8 overall on the year and 1-5 in the region after falling to Lanier last week 41-7.
Tonight is Senior Night at the Reservation for football and other fall sports.
Stephens County Offensive Line Coach Brian Johnson said the Indians want to end the regular season on a winning note.
“You want to play well your last game going into the playoffs,” said Johnson. “We have some great seniors that are going to walk out of there with a win I hope. We just have to take care of business.”
Kick-off from the Reservation is 7:30 p.m. It is also Stephens County Schools Hall of Fame Night.
Coverage on AM 630 WNEG begins at 5:30 p.m. with the Indian Tailgate Show. Coach’s Corner starts at 7 p.m. and pre-game coverage begins at 7:15 p.m.
In other action around the region tonight, Madison County is at Chestatee, Lanier hosts Walnut Grove, and Eastside visits Monroe Area.
Looking at other games throughout the area, Franklin County ends its season with a road trip to Elbert County and Hart County hosts North Oconee.
