Banks Co. Site of Sunday Manhunt

There is no word on the status of a manhunt Sunday in Banks County.

On Sunday, the Banks County Sheriff’s Office said it was searching for a white male wearing an orange and/or pink hoodie with blue jeans in the area of Hembree Road, Rattletrap Road and McDonald Circle.

The Banks County Sheriff’s Office said Sunday that after assisting Maysville Police with a vehicle pursuit that began in the city limits on Highway 98, Banks County deputies continued pursuit until the suspect fled on foot once the vehicle pursuit ended on Hembree Road. The suspect ran towards the Rattletrap Road/McDonald Circle area.

Assisting the Banks County Sheriff’s Office and Maysville Police were K9 units with Lee Arrendale and aviation units from the Georgia State Patrol.
