The Banks County Sheriff’s Office said it is seeking suspects believed to be from the Toccoa area in connection to shootings last week.
According to a press release from the Banks County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a Franklin County address on Highway 198 just after midnight on July 4 in reference to a shooting that originally occurred in Banks County.
Deputies reported being told of two shootings that had already occurred, with the first taking place at Patel’s Grocery on Highway 198.
The Banks County Sheriff’s Office reported that 22-year-old Preston Green of Lawrenceville said he and friends met with acquaintances in the parking lot of the grocery when a physical altercation began and Green was subsequently shot.
Green said he, his girlfriend, and his male friend, fled the scene and drove to an unknown residence in Franklin County to hide from the alleged offenders.
According to Green, as he and his friends were attempting to hide, the alleged offenders shot at their vehicle then fled from the residence.
Green was transported to Northridge Medical Center where he was released later that day.
The Banks County Sheriff’s Office said the alleged shooter is described as a light skin black male, between 6 feet and 6 feet, 2 inches tall with short black hair and a full beard.
Meanwhile, the alleged female accomplice is described to be a white female with black hair, about 5 feet 4 inches tall and between 130 and 140 pounds.
Finally, an alleged male accomplice reportedly has the nickname of “Red” but no description was given.
The Banks County Sheriff’s Office said all are believed to be from the Toccoa area.
