Authorities Release Details on Fatal Motorcycle Wreck

More information is out on a fatal motorcycle wreck in Stephens County last week.

The Toccoa post of the Georgia State Patrol released the accident report from Friday’s accident on Tuesday.

In it, authorities identify the person killed in the motorcycle accident as 54-year-old Micky Lamar Miller of Toccoa.

The accident happened just after 6:30 p.m. on Friday on Turner Road in Eastanollee.

In the report from the GSP, it stated that Miller was driving a 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle north on Turner Road when he lost control and traveled off of the east shoulder of the road while negotiating a curve.

A witness told the troopers that the motorcycle lost control and ran off the roadway.

Troopers reported that the motorcycle then struck an embankment with its undercarriage and continued traveling up the embankment, striking two trees with the front and right sides of the motorcycle.

According to the GSP, Miller was separated from the motorcycle, which came to rest facing north on its right side.

Miller was pronounced dead on the scene and authorities say he was not wearing a helmet.

There were no other vehicles involved in the accident.
