An Anderson, South Carolina man has been indicted on charges of felony aggravated assault on two Franklin County Sheriff’s Office deputies.

According to the indictment, Louis Damien Carver, whose last known address was 2313 Standridge Road, Anderson, was speeding down Watson Road in Franklin County on August 17, 2011 when he failed to stop for deputies.

A chase ensued and at one point, according to the indictment, Carver allegedly rammed his vehicle into the side of one patrol car on the driver side while the deputy was sitting inside.

A second count alleges Carver drove his car at a high rate of speed towards another Sheriff’s deputy while the officer was in the performance of his duties.

A third count of fleeing or attempting to elude a peace officer alleges Carver got out on foot and ran from the officers after the chase ended.

Carver was also indicted on two more counts of obstruction of a peace officer and driving on a suspended license.
