AMTRAK Train Kills Pedestrian in Alto, Report Says

Reports indicate that the AMTRAK   Crescent line may have been involved in a fatal accident involving a pedestrian in northeast Georgia Monday night.

A report on Accessnorthga.com states that a northbound AMTRAK passenger train struck and killed an individual Monday night in the Alto area.

The Crescent travels northbound between Atlanta and Toccoa each evening.

Monday night’s northbound Crescent line arrived in Toccoa just prior to 1 a.m. today from Atlanta, more than three hours after its scheduled arrival time.
