Amtrak Crescent Derails Overnight in S. Carolina

The Amtrak Crescent train derailed overnight in South Carolina.

WSPA-TV in Spartanburg, South Carolina reported Monday that it occurred around midnight Monday in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Amtrak officials told WSPA that there were no serious injuries, but that a few  people were taken to the hospital.

The train was heading northbound from New Orleans to New York and had passed through Toccoa hours before as it does each night.
