A Habersham County child has been found and the AMBER alert canceled.
The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office states that 5-year-old Roy Ivan Montesinos III has been located safely this morning.
In addition, Habersham County authorities state that the boy’s father, 25-year-old Roy Ivan Montesinos II, was taken into custody by the Gwinnett County Police.
Montesinos II is facing multiple charges in Habersham County.
The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office says it would like to thank its 911 Dispatcher center for a job well done relaying information.
The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office adds that it would also like to thank the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for its assistance and Gwinnett County Police for their diligent hard work in locating Roy Ivan Montesinos III and apprehending Roy Ivan Montesinos II safely.
