All-Region Football Teams Announced

Five Stephens County Indian football players are on this year’s Region 8-AAAA all-region first or second team.

Offensive lineman Ben Cleveland was the only Indian named to the first team

Meanwhile, four Indians made second team All-Region.

They are running back Sapario Reese, offensive lineman Thomas Lowery, linebacker Desmond Wheeler, and punter Kenneth Brock.

This year’s Region 8-AAAA Offensive Player of the Year was Monroe Area running back Kwan Brooks and the Defensive Player of the Year was Chestatee’s Khalil Cantrelll.

Monroe Area quarterback Stanton Truitt was the region’s Athlete of the Year and Monroe Area Coach Matt Fligg was named this year’s Coach of the Year in Region 8-AAAA.
