team metal finishingEverything is back to normal after fire crews responded to a Stephens County industry this morning.

Crews from Toccoa’s Station 10 and 11 responded to Team Metal Finishing on the Clary Connector between 8 and 8:30 a.m. this morning.

They were assisted by crews from Carnes Creek and Eastanollee.

Toccoa Fire Chief Tommy Ayers said that two different kinds of chemicals were mixed inside of the facility and that created a cloud in the building.

The building was evacuated until things were cleared up.

Ayers said nobody was injured and the all clear was given about an hour later and crews left the scene.
