7th Grade SCMS Boys Basketball Update

The Stephens County Middle School 7th grade basketball team won two more games late last week.

On Thursday, the 7th grade boys defeated Wilbanks Middle School of Habersham County 49-22. The Rebels trailed after one period but shut out Wilbanks in the second period to take command of the game.

Kole Rogers had 10 points, while DeUndra Singleton, Ty Scott and Montavis Thornton had 6 points each.

Then on Friday, the 7th grade boys traveled to Cleveland for a game with White County and were victorious 51-43 in overtime. It was a close game throughout, with regulation ending tied at 43. The 7th grade Rebel boys then outscored White 8-0 in overtime. Montavis Thornton had an outstanding effort with 21 points, while DeUndra Singleton added 11. Dawson Dean had 7 points.

The 7th grade boys are now 4-1 on the season.

They host Hart County today and Franklin County on Friday.
