123 Corridor Meeting Tonight in Toccoa

September 19, 2013

A meeting later today will focus on the U.S.   Highway 123/Currahee Street corridor in Toccoa and StephensCounty.

The meeting is tonight at 6 p.m. at the StephensCountySeniorCenter on Rose Lane in Toccoa.

A light dinner will be served.

According to organizers, the primary purpose of this meeting is to initiate discussions between business owners, local government officials, and volunteer organizations such as the Citizens Advisory Panel on Litter and Blight on practical ways to possibly work together to beautify and revitalize the U.S. Highway 123/Currahee Street Corridor.

Organizers said that this type of corridor improvement effort has not been done before on this section of roadway and if successful, organizers feel that it could benefit both businesses and the entire community.
