10-11 Toccoa Baseball All-Stars Eliminated From State Tourney

July 15, 2014

The Toccoa 10 and 11 year old baseball All-Stars are out of the state tournament in Cartersville.

Toccoa lost to Columbus Northern in the final game of pool play action on Monday 20-1.

Ian Rumsey had the lone hit for the Toccoa All-Stars.

Combined with Smyrna’s 16-1 win over Cartersville, Toccoa’s loss eliminated it from the state tournament.

Toccoa finished 1-2 in pool play.

Columbus Northern and Smyrna will advance to the state semi-finals in 10 and 11 year old baseball today.

Smyrna takes on Warner Robins American Little League, while Columbus Northern will take on Oconee County.

The state 10 and 11 year old baseball championship is Wednesday in Cartersville.

Meanwhile, Toccoa has one Little League team left in action.

That is the Junior League Softball All-Star team that will head to the Southeast Regional in Fort Myers, Florida later this month.
